Meet the Founder
Hi, I’m Dani! I am so so so excited that you are here! I am also grateful to gather amazing doulas, holistic practitioners, and women to create this beautiful community!
There was a time when I didn’t know doula work would be part of my future, and now I can’t imagine life without it. The power of witnessing women, the miracle of birth, being present for the life changing moments and this rite of passage…it’s all so very incredible!
I started Wise Women Doula Collective and Community as a way to give doula support to more women(scholarships for low income families!), be a guide and a resource through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and into motherhood, and to give women a space to connect in that beautiful way women love to connect with each other! To bring back the rites and rituals women have always had, and for them to connect with the ancestral wisdom and their intuition.
As a mother of 5, having all different kinds of birth experiences from hospital with epidural, induction, water birth, hospital unmedicated, and birth center, my experiences changed my life. Experiencing the lowest lows and highest highs through birth and postpartum helped me see what women need— continuous support and love. Even just someone to witness their birth, and hear their birth story can be incredibly healing
I have supported mothers through home birth, birth center, and hospital birth, unmedicated birth, twin birth, breech birth, first time moms, multiparous births, induction, epidural, miscarriage and loss. With this community, are changing the course of maternal care—helping mothers become healthier, happy women who reclaim their sovereignty and return to who they truly are at their core.
When I am not doing birth work, you could find me hanging out with my family, laughing at The Office, reading, doing yoga, going out in nature, having kitchen dance parties, and eating yummy gluten and dairy free foods. I was born and raised in North Carolina and miss the beach!
Hi, I’m Cherish! I’m honored and thrilled to be part of the Wise Women Doula Collective and to support you on your birthing journey. I serve families in Utah and Salt Lake County as a birth & postpartum doula with a heart-centered, holistic approach.
I’m deeply passionate about walking alongside expectant parents through the transformative experience of birth. My support goes beyond physical comfort measures—I'm here to empower you, provide unwavering emotional support, and help you navigate informed choices with confidence. I proudly support all types of births, including unmedicated, medicated, cesarean, and abortion care. Above all, I advocate fiercely for your bodily autonomy and aim to ensure you feel seen, heard, and respected every step of the way.
Outside of birth work, I’m a creative spirit who loves making music, writing poetry, baking, and spending quality time with loved ones. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Classical Studies from Utah Valley University, and I’m always deepening my knowledge through the latest in birth research. It’s a privilege to be invited into such a sacred and powerful time in your life. I’m truly excited to walk this path with you.
Hi, I’m Kenadee! I’m a doula and fertility coach passionate about empowering women through every stage of their journey to motherhood. With a strong foundation in women’s health and a deep appreciation for the power of nourishing food, I guide women in preparing their bodies for conception, pregnancy, and postpartum. I combine evidence-based care with heart-centered support to help you feel confident, informed, and nurtured every step of the way. I hold a degree in Health Education and Promotion with an emphasis in Health Science from Utah State University, which has equipped me with a strong understanding of the body’s physiology, health behavior, and holistic wellness.
I’ve had the privilege of supporting women through a wide variety of reproductive and birth experiences—including fertility struggles, hormonal imbalances, and a broad spectrum of birth settings and outcomes. My doula work includes support for home births, hospital births, and birth center births. I’ve walked alongside women through preeclampsia, HELLP syndrome, early deliveries (before 36 weeks), breech births, cesarean births, and home birth transfers. I support both medicated and unmedicated births, and I especially love guiding first-time moms as they step into their power. Postpartum, I offer gentle support through birth processing, early recovery care, and specialized emotional support for families with babies in the NICU. I’ve also worked in holistic health clinics, where I deepened my knowledge of natural wellness, nutrition, and whole-body care. Through my personal practice and my Instagram I strive to create a welcoming space where women can connect, learn, and grow.
Whether you’re hoping to conceive, preparing for birth, or navigating early motherhood, I’m here to walk alongside you with encouragement, expertise, and compassion.
Meet Andrea Mehner—a birth doula, integrative health practitioner, lifestyle family photographer, and mom of four.
With personal experience spanning a cesarean, two hospital VBACs with epidurals, and a natural water birth, Andrea brings a grounded, compassionate presence to every woman she supports. She believes birth is a deeply personal and transformative journey, and she’s passionate about helping mothers feel empowered, seen, and safe—body, mind, and soul.
In addition to her work in birth and wellness, Andrea captures the beauty of everyday moments through her lens as a lifestyle photographer. She’s also a world traveler at heart, drawing inspiration from the people and places she encounters along the way. Everything she offers is rooted in connection, authenticity, and a deep respect for the sacred transitions of life.
Isabelle is a DONA (Doulas of North America) birth doula and a certified VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean) doula. She was raised on a farm and is the oldest of seven children, so growing up she was always around birth and babies. Her love for life and families grew when she got her degree in Marriage, Family, and Human Relations.
She’s always known that she wanted to work with families, and becoming a doula has been a way for her to tap into her desire to help women have autonomy and sacredness in their birth experiences. Isabelle’s work as a doula has forged the way for her to become a midwife, and she loves being able to utilize her advanced knowledge to empower her clients.
Isabelle’s role as a doula is to help her clients move into the seat of the parent, making their own decisions based on their intuition and knowledge. She helps her clients have autonomy in their care by providing reliable informational resources for them to make their decisions from. As a doula, Isabelle holds space for her clients, and protects that space so that they can stay focused and in their element. She provides a grounding and calming energy to my clients, helping them feel safe and secure in whatever turns happen in their birth experience.
Isabelle serves Utah and Salt Lake Counties!
“Hi there, I’m Ashley! I’m so excited to introduce myself — I’m a certified birth doula with a doctorate in physical therapy, specializing in pelvic health. My passion lies in supporting women through every phase of womanhood — from prepartum to labor, birth, and the beautiful journey beyond.
“I bring experience from hospital births, birth centers, and nontraditional birth settings, and I’m deeply committed to helping women feel seen, supported, and empowered—wherever and however they choose to birth. I serve women in Utah County and Salt Lake City County!
“In addition to my work as a doula, I serve women as a pelvic health physical therapist, helping them reconnect with their bodies and feel confident in their journey back to whatever it is that brings them joy.
“When I’m not supporting women through my work, you’ll find me out hiking, biking, crafting something cozy, or lost in a good book. Birth is truly so powerful and beautiful and I’m so honored to walk alongside women during some of life’s most transformative moments.”
This is Amber — Doula, mother of seven, grandmother, and a calm, nurturing presence in the birth space.
Amber’s journey into birth work began during her first pregnancy, when the presence of a nurturing doula planted a seed that stayed with her. After birthing and raising her own seven children—through hospital, home, medicated, unmedicated, and water births—she felt called to support others on their own unique paths.
Trained through DONA, Amber has supported families through home births, hospital births, birth center births, inductions, VBACs, and both medicated and natural labors. She brings a grounded presence and a deep trust in the body, the process, and each family’s wisdom.
Amber offers birth doula services and serves Davis and Salt Lake Counties!
Cathy was born and raised in Idaho and now lives in Layton as a single mom to three fun-loving, busy kids. After navigating life as a Navy wife for 8 years, raising a child with special needs, and moving frequently, she’s thrilled to finally settle down, build her dream career, and enjoy more time with her children.
Cathy’s passion for supporting parents began with her own birth experiences. Each of her three births were different, and with each one, she became more informed. By the time she had her third child, she experienced the transformative power of having a doula. This sparked her calling to help other parents navigate labor and postpartum life. She became a certified birth doula and expanded her care into postpartum support, knowing how crucial it is to have a compassionate, skilled support system during these major transitions.
A strong believer in mindset work, Cathy also became certified in Aromatherapy and EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) to holistically support her clients’ mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical well-being. She’s led numerous workshops, been hired for retreats, and supported many through their birthing and postpartum journeys. Her goal is to empower families, helping them feel confident in their parenting abilities, calm through transitions, and grounded in their choices. When she’s not supporting other families, Cathy enjoys spending time with her own family. She loves hiking, paddleboarding, baking, staying active in her church, and exploring everything Utah has to offer. Cathy is passionate about healing, learning, and finding natural solutions, and she’s honored to be part of families’ journeys as they welcome their newest members into the adventure of life.
Cathy serves Davis County, SLC county, South Weber, and South Ogden
“Hi, I’m Rae! I’m a trained birth doula and clinical medical assistant with a deep passion for walking alongside women through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum journey. My approach to birth work is rooted in compassion, evidence based care, and a deep respect for each family’s unique story.
“I’m currently on the path to midwifery, taking nursing school prerequisites with the goal of becoming a Certified Nurse Midwife and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. I also dream of traveling to Mexico to apprentice with traditional midwives and learn from the deep cultural wisdom surrounding birth. One day, I hope to serve families in out of hospital settings, bringing gentle, holistic care to the forefront.
“I believe every mother deserves to feel seen, heard, and safe in her body. I’m here to hold space, offer grounded support, and gently remind you of your strength. I love using tools from my birth bag (especially my rebozo) to offer physical and emotional comfort throughout labor. Whether we’re in a hospital, birth center, or at home, I believe there are many ways to bring calm, confidence, and connection to the birth space.
“To me, birth is not just a clinical event it’s a deeply personal, spiritual, and transformational process, whether it’s your first baby or your fifth. I know that birth is primal and vulnerable, and I consider it a sacred honor to be invited into that space. My goal is for you and your family to feel truly known, supported, and safe by the time labor begins. Every family’s needs are unique, and I’m passionate about tailoring my care to align with your values, preferences, and vision for birth.
“Hi, I’m Clarice! I’m a birth and postpartum doula as well as a life coach, and I’m really passionate about helping women feel safe, supported, and deeply connected to their bodies during pregnancy and birth. A lot of my work weaves in trauma-informed care and nervous system support, so that moms can drop into their bodies, trust the process, and actually feel present in their experience.
“I love walking alongside couples as they prepare for this new chapter, making sure both mom and partner feel empowered and intentional about the way they step into birth and parenthood. To me, birth is sacred—it’s physical, emotional, and spiritual all at once—and I feel so honored every time I’m invited to be part of it.
“When I’m not with my families, you can usually find me coaching, moving my body at the gym or on a hike, reading self-development books, cooking something new, or spending time with my husband. I serve Salt Lake and Utah Counties!”
“Hi, I’m Jen! I’m a birth and postpartum doula who believes that birth is not only a natural process, but also a profound rite of passage. I see birth as a catalyst that shapes the direction of your life, and I’m here to remind you that you already hold everything you need within you.
“My own path to doula work began after the birth of my first child, when I felt overwhelmed and disconnected despite having support around me. It wasn’t until later that I realized I was capable all along... I just needed someone in my corner who could hold space, offer guidance, and reflect back my own strength. I trust the wisdom of your body, your intuition, and your baby. My role is to bring calm, grounded support, whether that looks like answering questions, offering resources, holding space for your emotions, or helping you rest and recover in postpartum. I want every family I work with to feel empowered, confident, and deeply supported as they grow into this new chapter of life.
“Outside of birth work, I love reading suspense novels, harvesting delicious veggies from my garden, and spending time with my family (and my cats!). I’m a bit of an introvert, but when it comes to talking about birth or parenthood, I light right up. Most of all, I want you to know this: you are strong, you are capable, and you are the expert on your own journey. I’d be honored to walk alongside you as you welcome your baby and step fully into parenthood.”
“I’m Whitney - a mother, a doula, and your big sister in this wild, sacred journey of motherhood.
My own unmedicated births - one in the hospital, one at home - taught me that birth isn’t something to control, but something to surrender to. It’s not just about bringing a baby into the world, but about remembering your strength, your intuition, and your voice.
“I’m here to walk beside you through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum - to hold space, share knowledge, and remind you that you were never meant to do this alone. Sometimes that looks like someone to massage your feet, play with your hair, and whisper reassurance when things feel big. Other times, it’s steady hands offering counter pressure, gentle guidance through your breathing, and a Mary Poppins bag full of tools to bring comfort and calm.
“I’ll help you explore your options, stand up for what feels right, and support your partner so they feel confident and connected too. I believe in the wisdom of your body, the power of your intuition, and the sacred village we build together. You were never meant to do this alone — and I would be honored to be part of your village.”
Whitney serves Utah, Salt Lake
“Hi, I’m Karely! I’m a birth doula, brand strategist, wife, and mom of two. I’ve personally experienced both a medicated birth (hospital induction) and an unmedicated home birth. Both changed me and shaped how I support other women.
“I believe birth works best when the mother feels safe, informed, and in charge. I trust her body and instincts. I also believe the partner’s role matters greatly, and I work to support both parents so they can move through this transformative experience as a team.
“I’m trained as a birth doula, postpartum doula, breastfeeding support doula, and in the art of the Rebozo. I’m detail oriented, straightforward, and reliable. My friends and clients often describe me as having a calm and grounding energy.
“When I’m not with my doula clients, I help women build brands that reflect who they are. Whether I’m supporting a birth or a business, I work to amplify women’s voices.“
“Hi! My name’s Elise, and I’m a Birth Doula here to support, educate, and empower you on your journey into motherhood! I serve Utah and Salt Lake Counties!
“I believe birth is a sacred and transformative experience, and every woman deserves compassionate support, evidence-based education, and strong advocacy. The more I learn about birth, the more I love it! Our bodies are incredibly powerful, and that’s what birth should be: empowering! I became a doula because too many women enter birth without the knowledge or support they need. Too many women grow up to fear birth and think that’s it can only to be a excruciating experience, when it really doesn’t have to be that way! My mission is to change that — by helping you prepare your mind and body, release fear, and embrace birth with confidence!
“With training, experience, and a deep passion for birth work, I’m here to walk alongside you so you can make informed choices and create the positive birth experience you deserve. When I’m not supporting families, you’ll find me listening to audiobooks and podcasts, writing stories, planning events with friends, going on walks, gaming with my husband, and looking for new things to try!”
“Hi! I am Jorie — Certified Lactation Consultant, Birth and Postpartum Doula. I serve the women of Salt Lake City. I have been working as a doula for 2 years with an abundance of love that has grown in my heart for so many families in that time.
