Wise Women Doula Mentorship

An intimate, hands-on mentorship curated to guide aspiring doulas from learning the foundations of birth work into confidently supporting mothers and families through birth.

This is more than a doula training, it is a journey of education, connection, community, and embodied experience.

Over the course of 8 weeks, we will gather every Thursday from October 1st—November 19th for a deep dive into the art, skill, and traditions of doula work. We will learn from 4 professionals, from lactation support to massage techniques, pelvic floor support, and mental health for ourselves and for our clients.

Mentorship starts October 1st

Classes will be held at Soleil Spa in Pleasant Grove. We will have 4-hour classes every Thursday evening from 5—9pm.

What to expect

This mentorship is made to give you a strong foundation in the art, skill, and intuition of birth work, blending evidence-based education, practical tools, hands-on experience, and the wisdom of holding space for women through one of the most transformative rites of passage in their life.

  1. You will learn the foundations of birth work, theory, stages of physiological birth, how birth unfolds emotionally, physically, and hormonally, the role of a doula in the birth space, how to create a grounded, empowering atmosphere, rebozo technique, and learn from our amazing professionals.

3 Pillars of the Mentorship

Education

Dive into the Birth Doula Certification with comprehensive education designed to give you knowledge, tools, and confidence to support women through pregnancy, labor, birth, and the postpartum period.

You will learn the foundations of doula work, comfort measures, birth physiology, advocacy, communications, prenatal visits, emotional support, ancestral ceremonies, and so much more!

Professional Expertise & Community

This mentorship brings professionals into the room to teach from their areas of expertise.

You will learn from an experienced Doula, IBCLC(Lactation Support), Mental Health Therapist, Pelvic Floor Therapist, and Massage Therapist. Meet the team below!

You will also have the support of a community, learning alongside other aspiring doulas as well as a group chat to ask questions. We will have a live coaching call within a couple months of completing the apprenticeship so you can benefit from the ongoing care and support.

Hands-on experience

As part of this mentorship, you will get real hands-on experience at 3 guaranteed births alongside an experienced doula. You will get compensated $150 to help with food, gas, childcare, and feeling some financial support through the process. You will see firsthand what it looks like to go to prenatal visits, support a laboring mom through her birth, navigate the unexpected, communicate with the care team, go to the postpartum visit, and hold steady presence in the room.
